Is it horrible that I find this commercial funny?
She seems to struggle a little on a few of the cue cards, "...the terrorists that... they... can...do. what they... want." She is right about one thing, another 9/11 would be bad. In my defense, I first saw this on CNN, and I missed the beginning about her son before I died laughing. I would feel bad if it didn't seem so staged and ridiculous. Anyways, are we all excited about tomorrow?!?! 9/11!!! Rudy Giuliani is hyped-but we all know that something far more and important than the anniversary of WTC (and more historical than WTC) will take place tomorrow: The sales battle between 50 cent and Kanye West! If Kanye (when Kanye?) sells more records than fitty, then fitty is going to throw in the towel! What will he do if (when?) he loses? Probably rob banks, or whatever he did before singing tales about "Candy Shops" and loving girls more than he loves cake.
In other news, I liked this GQ article on Rummy: http://men.style.com/gq/features/landing?id=content_5896

Country music and beer, Oh how I love thee, Oklahoma!
A bit dazed after one of those "know you shouldn't, but can't control yourself" situations. I want to help Ron Paul at the OU game tomorrow, but I'd much rather get drunk and try to forget life's problems while watching them sooners kick them hurricanes outa town! I'm completely mesmerized by life right now, Brad Pitt made me want to go wrestle bears earlier. And I did wrestle a bear tonight, figuratively speaking-and I defiantly lost. Oh well... I guess that's just part of being American. Now, time to hibernate!

mor(0)m(ny)an
Well well well, what a week. Ron Paul got almost 10% in the Iowa straw poll! I'm not completely sure if that is good or bad news but I'm excited anyways. I got kicked out of a frat house!!! I'm in the frat too, yay! I'm about to move into a house with some random dudes, should be awesome. I missed the Mitt Romney speech at OU, but my friend went and said Mitt did a great job of persuading him not to vote for him. Can't win them all right? Mitt can buy them all though, it seems, though Hillary should be able to buy more votes. I'm homeless right now, living in Pauls Valley at my grandpa's. It's relaxing here. Hopefully school will bring more updates, even though it should make me busier, I should be more time organized.

DC-Boston
So, interesting week for me. Last Wednesday (or Thursday, can't remember) I woke up and called Southwest Airlines to see when there would be some flights to DC so I could visit Gregory. They told me there was one in 3 hours that most likely wouldn't be full ( I had free tickets from my step-grandmother who works for SW, but I can't reserve a seat, there just has to be space for me), so I packed my bags, paid my rent and headed up to OKC. I hoped on a plane which stopped in KC for a minute, then was off for Chicago where I had a three hour layover. Then it was to DC were Greg Moore met me with a shaved head, red face, and covered in paint. I stayed with him a couple of nights. We went to DC, where we met Ron Paul and walked around important buildings setting off metal detectors and peeking in the offices of congressmen (and congresswomen). Then we went to a concert with cake. We partied with beer his mom got us and ate sandwiches she made for us (she is a wonderful person). Then, Saturday I hoped on a train to Boston to meet Emily. I like it here. I got completely hammered/stoned and passed out on a couch in someone's room. I think it was one of the Irish girl's rooms, though there was no one there when I woke up, I don't know if anyone was there when I went to sleep. I forgot to mention how beautiful the train ride was. The train ride was beautiful. We went shopping yesterday. Looking at thousand dollar Burberry suits made me sad, but also encouraged me to work hard in school and shut. Today Emily was gone when I woke up, and since you can't get in or out of the Alpha Phi house without a girl to type in codes, I had to get up so her roommate could let me out. We went and got some bagels together, then she directed me to this bookstore/cafe where I am now. So here I am, in Boston, alone with no place to go. I might walk to the commons in a minute. I'm reading on the road right now and it seems extremely fitting, as does the Bob Dylan I can't stop listening. Anyways, time to finish my chai and then wonder around to soak it all in.

Rodrigo Y Gabriela
Deseas tener una experiencia latina sin ser pobre? Quieres escuchar a musica latina sin ir a sur de la frontera? El nuevo disco compacto de Rodrigo Y Gabriela es para ti!!! Comprelo hoy!
I checked this cd out after hearing them on the Austin City Limits page and then seeing the video for "Diablo Rojo" on MTVu. It's great music for studying, reading, or just playing sudoku. While it does pretty much run together, I really can't complain (except for one thing that I'm about to complain about). My biggest problem with this cd is the cover of "Strairway to Heaven," which was originally covered by Led Zeppelin, who of course stole it from The Bible. Now I'm not sure if this knowledge has spread south of the border yet, but no one fucking covers this song for a reason. It's the cliche of the song no one wants to hear you play. Now this cover isn't even bad, it's actually pretty good, but this is no excuse. If I were to meet this due I would tell them, "No jueguen esa cancio'n!" Then I would sleep with Gabriela.
